On June 12th the students of Aichi Geidai have organized a symposium with over 50 people attending.
IIn the morning, local naturalists guided and showed to the participants several rare species of animals and plants found on the campus ground.
In the afternoon, the symposium took place at the Nagakute Bunka no Iye – the town hall with the presence of the following guest speakers :
Professor Keiko Kunimura, delegate of the Association of research for waters of Nagoya
Professor Hiroshi Matsukuma lecturer at Kyoto Institute of Technology and member of docomomo Japan
Professor Tatsuo Asai, member of the town council in Nagakute and former chairman of the building commission
Professor Shigenobu Otani former chief lecturer of Aichi Geidai
The speakers discussed the following subjects:
The naturalistic-cultural heritage and the biodiversity: to protect in the future the rich natural environment of Aichi Geidai (Professor Kunimura)
Aichi Geidai and what the architect Junzo Yoshimura wanted to realize . (Professor Matsukuma)
Nagakute: past and present ( Professor Asai)
The merit of Aichi Geidai campus from the viewpoint of teaching art (Professor Otani)
Symposium Simposio
Il giorno 12 giugno gli studenti di Aichi Geidai hanno organizzato un simposio al quale hanno partecipato più di 50 persone.
Al mattino esperti naturalisti locali hanno portato i partecipanti ad una visita nella natura del campus mostrando le varie specie rare di piante e animali che vi abitano.
Al pomeriggio si è svolto il simposio vero e proprio alla Casa della Cultura di Nagakute con la partecipazione dei seguenti relatori:
La Prof.essa Kunimura , rappresentante dell'associazione di ricerca per le acque della città di Nagoya.
Il Prof. Matsukuma, docente all'politecnico di Kyoto e membro di docomomo Japan
Il Prof. Asai , membro dell'assemblea legislativa della città di Nagakute ed ex presidente della commissione edilizia
Il Prof. Otani, già capodocente di Aichi Geidai
